About: This little guy is obsessed with anything that sparkles or shines! He’s a firm believer in “what’s mine is yours,” but also in “what’s yours is mine,” so don’t be surprised if you find him nestled up in your coinpurse or looking for things to add to “his” hoard.

5e Bonus: Every short rest, Tinsel will look for shiny things in the nearby environment, rolling a d8 on the appropriate table for the party’s current location. Tinsel can use this ability once per short rest, up to a maximum of 3 times in 24 hours.

Cities or Villages:

  • 1-2: A shiny but worthless trinket (e.g., a broken bit of glass).
  • 3-5: 1d4 silver pieces.
  • 6-7: 1d4 – 1 gold pieces.
  • 8: A minor piece of jewelry worth 5 gold pieces.

Wilderness or Outdoors:

  • 1-2: A shiny pebble or other useless object.
  • 3-5: A lost item with potential use (e.g., a flask with drinkable water, or a pair of glasses).
  • 6-7: 1d4 silver pieces.
  • 8: A coinpurse with 1d4 gold pieces.

Dungeons or Caves:

  • 1-3: A shiny pebble or small bone.
  • 4-5: A polished stone or ornate scrap worth 1 silver piece.
  • 6-7: 1d4 silver pieces.
  • 8: A gemstone worth 5 gold pieces.

About: To Pocus, the best time of year is Halloween! A lover of all things spooky, the color of autumn leaves, and candy, Pocus wishes it could be Halloween every day. Even if there aren’t any jack-o’-lanterns in sight, Pocus will still go trick or treating every night.

5e Bonus: Pocus and their owner gain a +1 to arcana checks. Additionally, after a long rest which goes through the night, roll a d10 on the Treats table. Depending on the result, Pocus may have brought a treat to their owner overnight.

Treats:

  • 1-3: No treats found.
  • 4-6: 1d4 berries with the properties of Goodberry.
  • 7-8: 1d4 +1 silver pieces or an equivalent spooky trinket (such as a pebble which looks like a skull)
  • 9: 1 vial of Alchemist Fire
  • 10: Roll 2 more times, re-rolling any 1-3 results.

If this check is made on October 31st, Pocus will attempt to bring treats to every party member. Roll once for each player.
